Elementary School Additions & Renovations
The elementary floor plan includes:
Added secure entry to the front of the building
Administrative offices moved to the front of the building
Kindergarten classroom remodel
Special education classrooms remodel
Additional ADA compliant restrooms where the administrative/nurses office used to be.
The cost of the elementary additions and renovations is 1,763,000 dollars. 1,519,000 dollars of the project will be funded by QCPUF (Quality Capitol Purpose Undertaking Fund) and the other $244,000 will be funded from the bond.
The elementary additions and renovations qualify for the use of QCPUF funds because of the safety and security addition and ADA compliance.

Opportunities
School within a school design allows for grades 5th-6th and 7th-8th to have separate learning areas, and benefit from being at the high school campus.
Educational programs enhanced due to one site
Industrial Tech, AG, Business, Family Consumer Science, Choir, Band, and Art
K-8th Student Mentoring
Additional courses and learning opportunities
Additional square footage in educational spaces.
After school club/activity opportunities for Middle School students.
Increased instructional time due to efficiencies.
New competition gym at Jr./Sr. High School. (3 full size available courts on one campus).
Needs
Secure entry vestibule/office at the front of the Elementary and Jr/Sr High School buildings.
All restrooms and facilities compliant with handicap (ADA) accessibility codes.
Long term investment in our facilities.
Efficient use of space, staff, and resources.
Decrease transportation time.
Urgent facility infrastructure updates
Efficiencies
Reduced duplicated spaces (library, kitchen & cafeteria, art, band/choir, industrial tech, family consumer science).
We would gain efficiencies in the following areas: transportation, grounds, maintenance, staffing, utilities, cleaning, time.
Without the bond, it is estimated that the cost of infrastructure upgrades, and maintaining current facilities would cost $51 million over the next 20 years without gaining efficiencies.
Operational efficiencies of being at one site is projected to save $650,000 yer year, which could reduce the general fund levy by 5 cents.
Addition and remodel could lower the Special Building Fund by 1-2 cents.
